CNBLL - Who we
are:
The Cranston
National Budlong Little League (CNBLL) will be
governed by the applicable LITTLE LEAGUE
BASEBALL INCORPORATED’S OFFICIAL REGULATIONS AND
PLAYING RULES in effect each year.
The CNBLL’s Minor League Divisions shall adopt
such other or additional rules as permitted
under applicable LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL
INCORPORATED minor league rules and regulations,
as deemed appropriate by the Board of Directors
of CNBLL.
CNBLL - A
Brief History:
On July 16, 1964,
Little League Baseball was granted a
Congressional Charter of Federal Incorporation.
Cranston National Little League was actually
established several years prior to that date.
Approximately 30
years ago, Tom and Kathy Fitz-Simon established
the Budlong Baseball Instructional League. In
1997, both leagues merged, creating the current
league name, Cranston National Budlong Little
League (CNBLL). A trophy in the name of
Kathy Fitz-Simon is presented each year to the
girl who exhibits outstanding sportsmanship. In
1998, Garden City Field was renamed Fitz-Simon
Field. In the 2000 season, a girls fast pitch
division was added to the league, giving the
children of our community an even greater
opportunity to play and learn.
The Mission of
Little League -
Little League Baseball, Incorporated is a
non-profit organization whose mission is to "to
promote, develop, supervise, and voluntarily
assist in all lawful ways, the interest of those

League program assists youth in developing the
qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork
and physical well-being. By espousing the
virtues of character, courage and loyalty, the
Little League Baseball and Softball program is
designed to develop superior citizens rather
than superior athletes. |
